AzPPA On-The-Road Series
The AZPPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce our next On the Road event to be held in an exclusive location not open to the public.
Saturday June 8, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM we are heading to The Orme School for a day of hands-on outdoor portrait photography, fun, and socializing. Included will be pet, horse, and human portrait stations with instructors who will demonstrate then allow you to work with the subjects yourselves.
Email: Sara@Goodnickphotography.com if you have dietary restrictions so the kitchen staff can be advised.
From Phoenix follow I-17 N to Dugas Rd. Take Exit 268 from I-17 N. (It is north of the exit for Hwy 69 leading to Prescott.)
Follow Orme Rd. and Orme School Rd. to the school, about 7 miles. The road is gravel but well maintained. The school is on the right side. Look for a small sign, turn right and follow the road on in to the school.
12:00-1:00 PM Lunch in the dining hall
1:00 Outdoor family portrait session
2:00 Outdoor pets solo and with their people portraits. After the demos you will have a chance work with them yourselves if you wish.
3:00 Outdoor headshots, or environmental portraits. First the demos and then we go for it! This is fun and educational because each of you will experience something we as photographers often forget: how it feels to be the subject instead of the photographer. So be sure to bring a suitable short or blouse to change in to for a short time.
4:00-6:00 Drive up to the stable area for equine photography. We also have an authentic working cowboy who will model for us.
The program is subject to change for just about any reason, so be flexible and definitely bring an open mind, creativity, and a sense of fun with you!
