Videography Primer For Photographers
with David Weingarten, CPP
With the popularity of YouTube and Vimeo, people are consuming more video content than ever, which generates copious opportunities to produce and sell small videos such as marketing videos and web-oriented commercials, webinars, instructional videos, interviews, vlogs, and testimonials. These are all jobs that can be done with DSLR cameras and a minimum of specialized equipment.
During this seminar we will learn how, as a photographer, you can easily understand the process of creating a professional video. David will show you how to take your photographic skills, add just three elements of videography, and be able to produce a product you can add to your business.
We will talk about the minimum equipment you need to achieve a professional result. Then we will go over some of the technical aspects of videography, such as camera settings, focusing methods, audio recording, camera movement and video editing. We will then discuss some of the different types of video jobs and how to approach each one, and look at solutions to problems you will encounter in the video world.
David will share his experience with examples of his work to help you take advantage of your camera’s video capabilities, to expand your business into professional videography.
