Green Screen Extraction Techniques Comparing Photoshop, OnOne, FluidMask and Primatte Chromakey.

with Tom Cheswick

Get ready for another fun, entertaining, informative and educational program with Tom. This one is on Green Screen Photography and made possible with the support of Savage Universal.

This program has three parts:

The Setup – A live demonstration covering selecting the right background and how to properly light for green screen photography. With the help of a live model, Tom will show you exactly what to do so that you set yourself up for successful and easy extractions.

The Extraction – Tom will compare the 4 most popular extraction tools – Photoshop, the soon to released OnOne Photo 10, Vertus' FluidMask and Digital Anarchy's Primatte Chromakey.

The Finished Image – We jumped through all these hoops to remove the background, so now what…

The final segment will show some options on what you can do with extracted images and how to make them look believable.

An important message from Tom:

“A big Thank You to some very special companies that are making this program possible.  With little time to create an all new program, I approached the best chromakey vendors with an idea.  A few of them were very excited about the concept and stepped right up in a big way to allow me to show the AzPPA members the best tools to use for green screen photography.  Some of them are offering discount codes for those attending the program and some are also giving away door prizes to help raise money for fallenfeathers.org!

Raffle tickets will be available for a $1 donation to Fallen Feathers. They are a local rescue and rehabilitation center for wild and exotic birds. Please bring some money for raffle tickets and help raise some money for this fantastic organization. You can read more about them at https://www.facebook.com/FallenFeathersRescue

About the speaker:

Tom has a gift for being able to clearly explain complex digital techniques that both novices and experts can easily understand. Even better, he does it in a easy and entertaining way that makes it fun to learn. That is why so many PPA affiliates have asked him to present programs on the digital aspects of photography. He has even helped companies like Leather Craftsmen with their transition to digital albums. Impressed with Tom's ability to teach, Dan Hammel, their Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, co-present numerous programs with him. Tom has also spoken at three PPA National Conventions and spoke twice at the PPA Wedding Conferences with Kay Eskridge.

Tom is a past president of the Arizona Professional Photographers Association and currently serves on the board. He has served as a PPA counselor for three terms and holds the Photographic Craftsman degree from PPA. Tom was presented with the PPA National Award for his outstanding service and dedication to the photographic industry. He has earned numerous photography awards including being named twice “Arizona Wedding Photographer of the Year”, receiving two Fuji Masterpiece Awards and a Kodak gallery award.

He and his wife Francine own a highly successful home based studio photographing mostly executive headshots and high school seniors.
